Our Founders
The idea for Lucciola was born from a conversation between soon-to-be co-founders Boris Napadensky and Dr. John Warner, where they envisioned a new way to deliver light deep within chemical systems. Inspired by the image of a lantern filled with fireflies, they set out to reimagine photochemistry using distributed, wireless light sources. The name Lucciola—Italian for “firefly”—reflects both the elegance of nature and the core innovation behind their technology.
